J E S U S C H R I S T. Why would Jesse be singing Real In Rio AT THE OSCARS? He can barely stand to be on camera just talking omg.

Except he is a born performer who “stood” to be on camera for an hour last year on SNL and did an excellent job, who can charm an audience in the most unassuming way possible, who excels in theater and live performance, who has appeared on countless TV interviews and segments and was only nervous when he had to answer questions about himself. I don’t really think he has an issue performing and being great at it, too.

ANGIE. FEELINGS. Remember this time last year when Jesse nabbed SNL and people were going on and on and on in an ableist fashion about how he was going to dissolve into a nervous breakdown on stage? But it was so patronizing, like, “poor baby! he’ll just die up there! WHY IS HE DOING THIS” and you and I were the only ones, like, “relax! he’ll knock this shit out of the park?” Same shit different year. :/

I don’t remember saying he would have a nervous breakdown. I have never and will never doubt Jesse’s ability to perform. I’m just saying that I don’t think Jesse Eisenberg will get on stage at the Oscars and sing Real In Rio. I don’t recall ever patronizing him or any other bullshit that has somehow stemmed from this disagreement. I love Jesse, have full faith that he will perform perfectly in everything that he does, so everyone can really just go sit the fuck down and shut the fuck up. That’s really just it.
